STYLE & PLAY GREAT YARD, offers a fusion of sports and fashion apparel, has been opened in Harajuku. Taiju Yamashita designed its interior design and helped to oversee the brand’s direction. The concept behind the interior design is “a backyard”, and black beams cover the facade represents the form of trees and fences surrounding the yard. That emphasize the lights and the liveness of inside which fall between the cracks so as to build a sense of expectation before customers walk into the store.

The interior was simply designed with inorganic materials as opposed to the airiness of active wear, but focused on to being particular about details to create the sophisticated street atmosphere, such as wood stamped concrete surface and neon signs. The store seeks the style that goes beyond the function, but detail and fashion which the brand embodies.
