Projects

At any given time, I've got a number of side projects on the go to complement my regular work. Here's what I'm working on at the moment.

Wired

πŸ“Š Groundwork is a dashboard for freelancers that lives entirely on your computer.

πŸ•˜ TaskDial maps your tasks onto a 12-hour clock face so you can see exactly where your time is going, work in focused blocks, and actually finish what you planned.

πŸ“… CalAnywhere is privacy‑first scheduling that works with any calendar.

πŸ”— Eink.link is a basic, fast-loading website aimed to be used on e-reader web browsers. The code repository can be found here.

πŸ’₯ Thought Shrapnel is a site with a weekly email roundup where I share and comment on things I find around the web.

Tired

⚽ Ref Assistant helps football referees (such as my daughter) keep track of matches. I'm vibe coding it using Applet.

🎨 Album Shelf allows you to curate your favourite music albums and show off their covers either on social media or as your video conference background.

🟑 Canary is an ultra-minimal, fast, accessible HTML theme which may or may not be for an upcoming project.

πŸ•™ Badge to the Future is a simple Verifiable Credentials issuer which I'm slowly vibe coding into existence.

πŸ–ΌοΈ (Un)familiar is an art project presenting black and white scenes from everyday life with a small twist...

πŸ€– I was using ChatGPT to help me make simple web apps and games. I made: RetroEmoji Challenge, Emoji Flashback, and WeatherHue. I wrote a post explaining how I made the first of these here.

Expired

🐴 Vibe.horse was a somewhat-unserious invitation to "join the vibe tribe" and get started with vibe coding.

πŸ‘Ÿ Exercise.cafe was a community focused on sharing and discussion of exercise and fitness-related activities. I handed over control and ownership to its most active user. You can see the original announcement blog post here.

πŸ”₯ Extinction.fyi was an RSS feed styled as a web page documenting the climate emergency. The code repository can be found here.

🌻 Privacy.garden was a WordPress-based site which brought together RSS feeds around privacy-related information in a 'river of news' style.
