Goodbye

As I said before, I would be leaving LiveJournal in the New Year. Today is the New Year. But, I'm gonna give you all 5 days here to comment, starting today. But on the 5th January, I will officially leave this place.
Don't cry for me. I don't think of this as the end for me, but rather another chapter of my life; a second adventure.
As I already explained, it just became pointless here when there wasn't much LJ friends commenting on my posts. I felt that fewer LJ friends were using LiveJournal as the years went by, because of tumblr. And I felt I was just wasting my time. I just wanna move on and have a fresh start - concentrate more on my writing; both stories and fan letters.

While back, after I declared by departure of LiveJournal, I found this poem online by Alfred Lord Tennyson called Ulysses. Here is the shorter version;
"It may be that the gulfs will wash us down;
It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,
And though we are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will;
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."

I’ve been thinking about that poem a lot lately. And I think what it says is that, while it’s tempting to play it safe, the more we’re willing to risk, the more alive we are. In the end, what we regret most are the chances we never took. And I hope that explains, at least a little, this journey on which I am about to embark. I have loved every minute with all of you, my LJ family. For 3 years you've all commented on my posts with so much positive feedback. For that, I am grateful.

There is also a phrase from an iconic character, one I think you all know; Spock. From his words, and added with a little touch of my own, his phrase is;
"You have been, and always will, my [LJ]friend(s).
Live long, and prosper."

Now, I'm not going to show you the YouTube clip of him saying that because; A)It's much too said. B)I don't want you to assume that I'm dying or something, just leaving and the_muppet will mention me here time to time. C)I was going to show only one YouTube video, and it should be better.

I would like to say goodbye to you, my LJ friends:
<span class="ljuser i-ljuser i-ljuser-type-P " Or if you know someone in the film industry in need of some inspiration to make a movie, then type in the search engine for tags like Films, Movies, Actors and/or Actresses, see if that helps. Or if you just want to read good story, and liked my stories, then just type in Stories on the search engine and you'll see stories from my Halloween stories to a Guy Richie fanfic to even my story that I never had published but posted(one chaoter each) here instead; Battle for Li Chien instead.

I really did enjoyed posting awesome entries, and even more so hearing your opinions on them. I will miss you all very much, and I wish each of you a great year to come.

Goodbye, and Godspeed.

And ladies and gentlemen, Billy Boyd performing The Last Goodbye;
<lj-embed id="679" />

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I had a great night. I actually had a more than one New Year's snog - four times to be precise, and they were all from older women! One was a little drunk and there was another who was incredibly busty!
But other than that, I danced, I drank, I made my ancestors proud. I had the most fantastic evening.

It is a sad farewell to 2014, but at the same time a warm welcome to 2015. I'll never forget events that has happened to me last near. I'll always remember the good times, and the bad times. Those I met, and those I lost. From joy to heartbreaks and disappointments. But everything that has happened to me last year, everything that had happened, is all behind me. I now focus on the coming events for this year!

I feel 2015 is going to be great. But if I want that to happen, I gotta turn over a new leaf. I see it now! I want that feeling, and I know it's going to happen. It CAN happen! And it can happen to you too!
I've made a few New Year's resolutions, but one of them is be more confident, take risks, try to do much good deeds as I can. You all should do the same.

Happy New Year to all, and to all a great year!

New Year's Eve!

It is New Year's Eve, and tonight I am going out to a New Year's Eve party. I am very excited, and at the same time nervous.
This is the last day of 2014, and at midnight is the beginning of 2015. End of this year and a start of a new year. It is just amazing!
What has been the highlight that has happened to you this year? Just you I mean. I have some good highlights;
1) My trip to Comic-Con
2) My night out on Valentine's Day
3) Seeing Lee Mack live
4) My day out on St. Patricks Day
5) Shaving my head for charity

Those were good times. I can't wait for whatever happens in the New Year. The New Year is a time to start again, take risks, make New Year's resolutions. I wanna make a fresh start for myself in the New Year; job searching writing stories, finding a girlfriend.
But tonight, I am gonna party like it's 1999 - a lot of people use that phrase, don't know why. But that is exactly what I'm gonna do. I am going to enjoy myself, and will make the most of the last day December - and the year itself.

I hope you all have a great time tonight, I know I will. Have a great evening, and party on!

Here's some wicked tunes to celebrate New Year's Eve!

1)
<lj-embed id="668" />

2)
<lj-embed id="669" />

3)
<lj-embed id="670" />

4)
<lj-embed id="671" />

5)
<lj-embed id="672" />

6)
<lj-embed id="673" />

7)<lj-embed id="674" />

8)
<lj-embed id="675" />

9)
<lj-embed id="676" />

10)
<lj-embed id="677" />
The cinema I saw today

Today I went to the cinema and saw Annie, a remake to the musical classic starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.
The plot, obviously, sees a young foster kid named Annie taken in by a billionaire. But she soons warms up to him and everyone else as these two discover that family doesn't have to be blood.
The film was heart-warming, hilarious, and had remastered songs. I thought Foxx and Diaz were brilliant in their respective roles. A fitting end of the year as the last film of this year that I have seen. I liked it! I give it 4/5.

<lj-embed id="667" />

Mash-up songs of 2014!

To celebrate the end of 2014, I found this music video from a DJ, whom I've never heard until I saw this video, a video that's mashed together every song we've ever heard in the year.
It's actually quite catchy, it sounds like all the artists in this video are performing together.

Warning, this song is an hour long. It's probably the longer version. Unless the one I saw on a music channel was edited into a short version.But either way, the video here is quite excellent, and a real montage for all the songs of 2014. Have a listen and enjoy.

<lj-embed id="666" />

Film idea: A Year

Genre: Comedy-Drama-Romance

Certification: 12a/PG-13

(ensemble)Casts: Mark Ruffalo, Stanley Tucci, Chris Pine, Colin Firth, Selena Gomez, Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson, Jamie Bell, Morgan Freeman, Matthew McConoughey, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bradley Cooper, Luke Evans, Neil Patrick Harris, Morgan Freeman, Steve Carell, Lily Collins, Channig Tatum, Chris Tucker, Kevin James, David Spade, Jena Malone, Tom Hardy, Jennifer Morrison, Rebel Wilson, Emma Stone, John Lithgow, Russell Brand, Jackie Chan, Matthew Broderick, Alec Baldwin.

Plot: We see life revolving around everyone throughout the year; from Valentine's Day, to Christmas and New Year's Eve. As well as the rise, fall, struggle pursuit of love, family and friendship.

Notes: I got this idea from after watching New Year's Eve(film). I thought that would be cool to have a big budget ensemble film with so many stars. I don't know what plots would be; a couple of storylines, and anyone who would consider this diea doesn't have to have all these stars. Just a thought. But any of you, my LJ friends were to consider different plots for these stars, let me know what your idea is.

The Christmas Truce of 1914

This is an incredibly true story in the history of WW1.

In Christmas morning, 1914, both the British and the Germans had a ceasefire and left the trenches and greeted eachother instead of fighting eachother. Both sides layed down their arms and celebrating Christmas together, even playing Football.

This was only for one day sadly. And as Christmas ended, both sides went back to their trenches and continued fighting. The war continued, and that was the liast time that day would ever happen again.

I have heard this tale many times. I quite liked that part of WW1 because that day both sides completely forgotten about their war with eachother, and put aside their differences and became friends for the sake of Christmas, even if it was a short time. Even though it was only one day, just one day, there was peace.

Christmas film idea: Dating an Elf

Genre: Family, Fantasy, Romcom.

Certification: PG or 12a/PG-13

Cast: ???

Plot: A female Elf leaves the North Pole to bring joy to a miserable town. Along the way, she is taken in by a single father and his two kids(nine-year-old son and teenage daughter) where she immediately lightens up their home and bringing their family closer. But what the elf didn't plan on was falling for the father, and evenutally the pair fall in love.

Note: I hadn't thought of the casting idea, but I would think this would be a made-for-TV film. I also thought it would be quite a hearwarming family film too. Although there might've been a similiar film already made, I'm not sure. But just to clarify, my version of elf isn't the usual knee-high version but rather the regular sized(our size) version.

The Snowman

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Snowman

The Snowman was adapted as a 26-minute animated film by Dianne Jackson for the fledgling British public-service Channel 4. It was first telecast on 26 December 1982 and was an immediate success. It was nominated for the 1982 Academy Award for Animated Short Film.

The film story is told through pictures, action and music, scored by Howard Blake. It is wordless like the book, except for the song "Walking in the Air". In addition to the orchestral score, performed in the film by the Sinfonia of London, Blake composed the music and lyrics of the song, performed by a St Paul's Cathedral choirboy Peter Auty.

The film ranks 71 on the 100 Greatest British Television Programmes, a year 2000 list drawn up by the British Film Institute, based on a vote by industry professionals. It was voted number 4 in UKTV Gold's Greatest TV Christmas Moments. It came 3rd in Channel 4's poll of 100 Greatest Christmas Moments in 2004.

When I first saw this, I was amazed. This was indeed a wonderful short film, but it was quite sad at the end; when the boy came outside in the morning only to find the Snowman had melted. I kinda cried a little at that. But the rest was beautifully done.

Enjoy this short movie, as much as I did when I was young.
<lj-embed id="624" />

<lj-embed id="623" />

This video is from Thirty Seconds to Mars, and the song is called City of Angels, and directed by its lead singer Jared Leto.
This is a really great video, expecially how it is done. Throughout the video, it features commentaries from different celebrities all discussing their relationship with Los Angeles while some of the city's most iconic landmarks are shown.
It is really incredible. Check it out!

Christmas film idea: Killer Reindeer!

Genre: Action-Comedy-Horror

Certification: 15/R-rated

Casts: Joe Flanigan, Tara Reid, Jim Beaver, Robert Englund.

Plot: In the week of Christmas, a scientist(Englund) genetically engineers a reindeer in the hopes to create a magical reindeer for Christmas. But it only turns the reindeer murderous, going on a killing spree. And so, only a US soldier(Flanigan) who's returning from duty for Christmas in the hopes on getting back together with his ex-girlfriend(Reid) ends up teaming up with her overprotective father(Beaver), a game hunter, when hearing about the killings and now has to save his hometown, and quite possibly Christmas as well!

Notes: Not all Christmas films has to be all lovey-dovey and cheerful, some of them would have to be a horror on Christmas. I actually got this idea when me and my sister when to a big shop and we saw a large sculpture of a reindeer, and I jokingly commented that it would be funny if the reindeer's antlers were covered in blood! I wouldn't be surprise if this film was made into a low-budget film, Probably be worst than Sharknado, but I might watch this none the less.

Their only hope is to travel to the London museum where Ahkmenrah's parents are in order to decipher a way to restore the magic. Along the way, Larry and the exhibits encounter Sir Lancelot, a skeleton triceratops, a feisty London nightguard, Ahkmenrah's parents and a caveman that looks exactly like Larry! Can Larry save his friends in time?

The film was hilarious, very moving and had great castings.
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is the final film to feature Mickey Rooney, who passed away in April 2014, at the age of 93, and the last major studio film role of Robin Williams, who died in August 2014.
Christmas film idea: Red Christmas

Genre: Action-Horror

Certification: 15/R-rated

Casts:
James Cosmo as Santa Claus
Jack O'Connell as Nick
Charlotte Spencer as Hanna(elf)
Ian McShane as Krampus(Santa's evil twin)
Dominic Cooper as Sebastian(elf)

Plot:
Nick, a young man who doesn't believe in Christmas, finds his little brother kidnapped by a creature dressed as Santa Claus. He then realise that Santa Claus is real, but not in the way children believed; he had an evil twin named Krampus(the Anti-Claus), who has legion of Orcs like Sanat has Elves to serve him, and that once every century Krampus abducts children and eats them, but only Santa himself can stop him. And so, not only has to save Christmas but save his brother as well, all the while helping santa and his elves battle his evil twin and an army of Orcs!

Notes: A darker take for to Christmas legend, which I had a lot of thought into it. This film will be scary, but at the same time will have bloody violance in as well. The elves this version however shouldn't be short like the legend tells but rather the same height as us. And I think maybe Tim Burton should direct this film? Not the first time he did that - Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I always thought that James Cosmo what perfect for the role as a warrior version of Santa Claus, and it would be cool to see Santa wielding a sword.

Band Aid 30 - Do They Know It's Christmas?

Last month, a lot of famous artists came together to perform a Christmas song for the Ebola crisis in West Africa. This song and the artists were put together by Bob Geldof.

It's very touching, and you might recognise some of the stars here.
Warning: the first 15 seconds features an upsetting footage of what is happening in Africa. So you do not wish to see the first 15 seconds, you may skip it to the song if you wish to.

<lj-embed id="621" />
The featured artists: Olly Murs, One Direction, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, Bono(U2), Clean Bandit, Rita Ora, Paloma Faith, Chris Martin(Colplay), Guy Garvey(Elbow), Ed Sheeran, Seal, Emeli Sandé, Dan Smith(Bastille), Jessie Ware, Sinéad O'Connor, Angélique Kidjo and Underworld.

If it's not too late, please donate if you want to, for Christmas.

Middle-Earth...more franchise!

I am sad of The Hobbit film, and I wish it wasn't over. I do hope Peter Jackson will make more films set in the Middle-Earth universe. Here's what I think should happen;

1). Another prequel, this time focussing the years of a younger Gandalf.
Casts: Sam Claflin as Gandalf, Nick Blood as Saruman, Charles Dance as an elder wizard James Buckley as Radagast, Kate Blanchett as Gadriel, Hugo Weaving as Elrond, Billy Connelly as Hobbit mayor, Andy Serkis as Gollum, Robert Carlyle as Goblin King.
Plot: A young Gandalf, still an apprentice wizard travels across Middle-Earth along with friend Saruman, where they discover an unknown land called The Shire. But now must protect it from the evil intentions of Men and Goblins.

2). Another three-part trilogy idea, set 100 years after the events of The Lord of the Rings, with a slight Steampunk theme in it.
Casts: John Hurt, Henry Caville, Robert Sheehan, Jai Courtney, Abbie Cornish, Gerald Butler, Ray Stevenson, Evangeline Lilly, Brendan Gleeson, Eva Green, Mark Strong, Manu Bennett.
Plot: John Hurt plays Harriet the Brown, a wizard who asks the aid of an older Samwise Gamgee(Brendan Gleeson). But instead, seeks aid of his son, Bilbo Gamgee(Robert Sheehan), named after Frodo's uncle Bilbo Baggins. The quest is to aid the son of Aragorn Eramir(Henry Cavill) reclaim Gondor from a witch(Eva Green), who turns out to be the tenth Ring-Wraith. Gondor was take by treachery by a captain of the Gondor captain(Mark Strong), this treachery caused the death of the prince's parents and swore to avenge them and reclaim the land of Men. During the quest, they are aided with the captain of the cavalry of Rohan(Jai Courtney), the last of the Elves(Evangeline Lilly), a female ranger(Abbie Cornish), a Dwarf warriors(Gerald Butler & Ray Stevenson) and an Orc deserter(Manu Bennett) who is the descendant of Azog the Defiler. Together, their journey will take them to Gondor, where they will not only retake Gondor, but to save of of Middle-Earth as well. Each of this characters have their own personally reason, but they will all work together to save their world from another great evil.

That is my idea of how it will be. Tell me what you think.

Meanwhile, many events are happening; the dragon Smaug lay waste to Lake Town with Bard as the only hope. And as things cannot get any worst, an army of Orcs, led by Azog the Defiler, marches on to Erebor as Sauron finally makes his appearance. And so begins a climatic battle between Men, Elves, Dwarves and Orcs. But amidst the battle, Thorin struggles with his own ambition and sanity, much to the concern of those around him.
This battle will not only decide the fate of Middle-Earth, but the pinpoint to Bilbo's destiny!

The film was breathtakingly amazing! Put me on the edge of my seat. I was totally mind-blown by a few surprises. It was better than the last two. I give it 5/5.

<lj-embed id="620" />

How to be a Monster Hunter!

I had previously posted entries called Monster Encyclopedia, with extensive knowledge of different kinds of monsters; vampires, witches, werewolves, demons and dragons.
Now I am posting this entry on how to become a monster hunter, in case these monsters are real and future generations will need to know how to start. So let us begin.

As a monster hunter, you must learn these five simple rules in hunting;
1. Never hunt alone, unless you are highly experianced like Blade(Marvel comic) or Hercules(Greek mythology). Nevertheless, always have a partner with you, but it's always useful to hunt in groups between 3 or 5.
2. Always learn what you're hunting and how to kill it(look up on my encyclopdia posts on monsters, or lick on the bottom tags).
3. Never settle down. You can never have a normal life AND a life of a monster hunter together, you will know no friend or family or even love. But as this rule is hard to follow, then at least keep your other life a secret from those closest to you; the less they know, the safer they are. No one can know your secret.
4. Always hunt at night, never in daylight(unless it is deep in the woods, and a witch makes it an exception).
5. Always have a contingency plan.

As a monster hunter, you would have a specific monster to hunt. For that you will need to know that when;
Hunting vampires - Vampires are vulnerable to sunlight and are weakened by silver, so always carry silver weapons like silver stake or silver bullets or silver blades. A vampire's bite will not turn you, but drinking its blood will(just drinking it, no effect from exposing an open wound to it). They are also nearly repelled to holy crucifixes, so a bullet with a holy cross carved on the tip would be most effective. Vampires also have no reflection, so always look at a mirror at a public places(that's where they usually hunt). Finally, to properly kill a vampire, either impale their hearts or decapitate their heads.
Hunting werewolves - Like vampires, werewolves are also vulnerable to silver, so always carry a silver bullet or silver arrow tips. They're also weaken by wolfsbane and mountain ash repels them. Their bites can turn you, so be careful. And again like with vampires, decapitation of the head or impalement of the heart is a more effective way. Be wanred tough, a fullmoon is when a werewolf is at its most powerful.
Hunting witches - Rock salt can be used to ward off witches, but iron is the one thing that can hurt them. Decapitation works as well, but a witch is vulnerable to fire, so always set her ass on fire. To avoid any spell casting from a witch, wear an enchanted amulet or ring that can protect you from a witches spell. Finally, always hunt a witch in the day, it is too dangerous at night; witches have the element with both the woods and the night.
Hunting demons - When demons die, they combust into flames. That is called 'descending', meaning that they're sent back to hell from whence they spawned. There are three things you need that can hurt them; iron, holy water & a holy cross(not just the cross of Christ, but also the holy cross of the Archangel Michael). Demons can also possess human bodies or take human forms, so either way they are difficult to find(unless you're an angel or half-demon that can see their true demonc forms). But the best way to expose them is use a musical tune that with the right keynotes can drive a demon mad, like a dog whistle.
Hunting dragons - Dragons are nearly unvulnerable to a large spear-like black arrow made of iron which can be fired from a launching device called a "wind piercer" and aim true at the dragon's heart. But a dragon's heart is always on the right side, not the left. And hunting a dragon would require a group as a dragon is very powerful and very dangerous.
Hunting giants - Giants are quite large, so they are very strong and nearly unstoppable. But they have small weak points, particularly on the ligaments of the ankle, which will slow them down. As well as deep incision at the nape of the neck, which could kill them. But do it hard and quick because a giant will do far worse to you.
Hunting wendigos - A wendigo is vulnerable to silver and fire; silver hurts them but fire destorys them, so slow them down with silver and set their asses on fire! Warning, a wendigo has the element of surprise in the forest, especially when it is dark, particularly when it's winter. So be very cautious.
Hunting hydras - A hydra can grow two heads in place of one when decapitating it. So the best way to prevent that is burn the part of the neck where the head was, thus preventing two more heads to grow. But the other way to kill a hydra, the only sensible way, is impale its heart with a throwing spear. But like a dragon, a hydra's heart is on the right side, not the left.

But if you want to be a "master monster hunter", and would hunt all of the above, then remember rule number 5; always have a contingency plan. Basically, the kind of weapons you would need are;
Silver bullets with a holy cross carved on the side(vampire/werewolf/wendigo/demon)
Mountain ash(werewolf)
Arrowheads made of iron with silver tips(vampire/werewolf/witch)
shotgun with shells with with mountain ash and iron shards(werewolf/demon/witch)
Silver stakes(vampire/werewolf)
Vertical maneuvering equipments(dragon/giant/werewolf)
Silver swords with a holy cross carved on the blade(vampire/werewolf/demon)
Ultraviolet grenade(vampire)
Silver-shard grenade(vampire/werewolf)
Holy water(vampire/demon)

But the true weapon needed, real power, is faith; faith gives us strength. And when facing one of these monsters, no matter how terrifying they are, show no fear; while the danger is real, fear is a choice.
And always remember that a hunter hunts those that hunt us, and protect those who can't protect themselves.

I hope all this helps for when the day comes that these monsters do exist, future generations would need to know how to defend themselves and the rest of mankind from things that go bump in the night - and they will be the ones who'll bump back!

<lj-embed id="615" />

<lj-embed id="616" />

<lj-embed id="617" />

<lj-embed id="618" />

<lj-embed id="619" />
Elementary...and a possibility of a spin-off called League of Extraordinary Gentlemen!

I have just seen the third series of Elementary, and so far it is quite good. But I now wonder if a spin-off would be good.
There are talks of a remake to League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, maybe modernised as a tv version. Reason for this revelation was because after watching the end of season 2, when Mycroft faked his death, I assume he would tak the alias of "M", and lead a small taskforce to work on case and fix problems no one can do. Maybe introduce those characters in a possible fourth series of Elementary?
That cast choice and characters are:

Idris Elba as Alan Quartermaine - Quartermaine is an ex-Royal Marine, who's lost his faith in patrionism. But now has regained his fighting spirit when being recruited by Mycroft. Elba is done playing Luthor from the BBC show of the same name, and I think he is best suited for this role.

Michelle Ryan as Mina Harker - A woman with a mysterious past with surpising skills in combat and deduction that rivals that of Joan Watson. Mina Joined the league in the hopes of finding her husband, who disapeared and was connected to a shady organisation. I think former Eastenders star Michelle Ryan would be good in the role, and hasn't been in an action show since her role in the remake Bionic Woman.

Alexander Siddig as Captain Nemo - An explorer and environmentalist who owns his own submarine, he turned to a life of terrorism against those who threaten marine life. Nemo was then offered to join the League by Mycroft in the hopes to do good in a less violent way. It would be good to have Siddig back in the US screen since Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

David Anders as Dr. Jack Griffin(the Invisible Man) - A scientist who found out his company were going to sell his formula to terrorists and so destroyed every data and used the last formula on himself, where he exacted revenge on his company. The Invisible Man was then offered to join the League in return they would make him visible again.

Lyndsy Fonseca & Ellen Hollman as Dr. Henriett Jekyll & Mrs. Edna Hyde - Two sides of the same coin, literally. Henriett Jekyll was a shy genetic scientist that worked on a formula which would make the human appearance perfect and cure mental illness. She was diognosed woth duel-personality disorder in her childhood which started to re-emerge itself. She used the formula on herself, but it backfired; not only giving her second ego a conscious but genetically alters her appearances whenever ego emerges. This created Edna Hyde, Jekyll's other half who is beautiful but deadly, a psychotic superhuman. Jekyll & Hyde were recuited by Mycroft; Jekyll for her knoweldge in genetics for any cases that involves DNA, and Hyde mostly as the powerhouse(albeit unpredictable). Lyndsy Fonseca is very pretty, and she would be great in a main role since Nikita. And I liked Ellen Hollman in her role in Spartacus: Vengeance and Spartacus: War of the Damned.
NOTE: I hope these characters would appear in a future episode of Elementary, which would be really cool.

Rhys Ifans as Mycroft Holmes - Brother of Sherlock Holmes, and former MI6 agent. Mycroft faked his death, but could not resist the adventure. So he made a deal with the NSA where he would go on an alias and form his own task force; League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It would be nice to see Rhys Ifans back.

Natalie Dormer as Jamie Moriarty - The main antagonist for the supposed spin-off, and Sherlock's former lover-turned-nemesis.

Richard Armitage as Johnathen Harker - Mina's wife who disapeared, but turns out he secretly works for Moriarty.

That's my idea for a tv show of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Tell me what you think.

The Wind in the Willows remake

I looked up on Wikipedia that there might be a 'Wind in the Willows' film, mixed with live-action and CGI animation(meaning computer-generated caption).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wind_in_the_Willows#Film_and_television

I hope so, because that would sound amazing, though I think the film should be improved and/or extended for the viewers today. I even thought of a casting idea, though nearly all of them would have to be in computer-generated caption.

Mr. Toad, played James Buckley - Buckley is best known for his role in the sitcom series/movies The Inbetweeners, and I would think he would be great in the role as Mr. Toad; the main character in the book who is described as reckless yet hilarious and good-hearted.

Badger, played by Ian McShane - I imagine what the character Badger would sound like, and I thought McShane is perfect to voice Badger, as they both have the gruff attitude.

Ratty, played by Martin Freeman - The character Ratty has a calm and calculating, yet caring personality. I think Freeman is perfect to voice Ratty, as he was best known for his roles as John Watson from Sherlock and Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit.

Mole, played David Wenham - I tried thinking of who would play Mole, then I realise it is really about the way he talks; his noise being pointy, it almost sounds like he has a cold. I then realised that the only person whose voice is similar to that is David Wenham. And mole being shy and mild-mannered, Wenham might bring the character to life with his acting.

The Jailer's Daughter, played by Ophelia Lovibond - I kinda think that Lovibond would be suited for this film(she is very pretty), but I hope that her character would have not only a name, but a bigger role rather rather than a small one(besides helping Toad escape, would also aid the four in taking back Toad Hall) in the film.

Washerwoman/Tea Lady, played by Rebel Wilson - Rather an aunt, the character be younger and close friend of the jailer's daughter. She would be the one to lend Toad her dress as part of his escape. I thought Wilson because I remembered she was hilarious in Pitch Perfect.

Chief Weasel, played by Gary Oldman - The antagonist of the story, and I think Oldman(who's superb in portraying villains) would bring this character to life with his acting. This character is basically obsessed with Toad Hall and will do anything to get it.

Chief Stout, played by Ray Winston - The Chief Stout, and the rest of the stouts would ally themselves with the weasels, so an epic(though not that epic, nut hilarious) battle would be expected. I hope Winston gets this role, because his acting makes any character he portrays sound tough and intimidating.

The Judge, played by Jim Broadbent - The judge who put Toad away. I think Broadbent is perfect for the role, as he makes people laugh with an angry face, so fingers cross.

Toad's lawyer, played by Hugh Bonneville - The lawyer who tried, but failed, to defend Toad. I think Bonneville is perfect for this role.

The Constable, played by Andy Serkis - The police constable who arrests Mr. Toad. I thought maybe Serkis should be in this film, because he was so great starring in films in a computer-generated caption, but I can't see a role for him as computer-generated character, so maybe a live-action role instead?

Pan, played by Lily Cole - A spirit of the forest who guides Mole and Ratty to Badger's home. I think there should be a female version of Pan, that's why I thought of Lily Cole for the role, and might also reveal that Badger was in love with her when he was young. Thought that might be interesting.

What do you think? I hope this happens, and it would be an amazing film. I'd definitely will watch it.
As for the director choice, I'm thinking either Guillermo del Toro, or Peter Jackson(director of Lord of the Rings, King Kong, The Adventures of Tintin, The Hobbit). Yes, that would be a great choice.
Now not sure what studios this film should be made. Probably either Warner Bros Inc or Studiocanal(though I think maybe Warner Bros is the perfect choice).
I really hope this film would be made.

The cinema I saw today.

Today I went to the cinema and saw Paddington. A family film starring Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi with Nicole Kidman and Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington.
Adapted from Michael Bond's beloved books, Paddington follows the comic misadventures of a polite young bear with an endearing talent for comic chaos.
Paddington has grown up deep in the Peruvian jungle with his Aunt Lucy who, inspired by a chance encounter with an English explorer, has raised her nephew to dream of an exciting life in London. When an earthquake destroys their home, Aunt Lucy decides to smuggle her young nephew on board a boat bound for England, in search of a better life. Arriving alone at Paddington Station, Paddington soon finds that city life is not all he had imagined - until he meets the kindly Brown family, who find him with a label tied around his neck which reads 'Please look after this bear. Thank you.' They offer him a temporary home whilst he searches for the explorer who impressed Aunt Lucy all those years before.
But when Paddington catches the eye of a sinister, seductive taxidermist, it isn't long before his home - and very existence - is under threat ...and only his new family can save him.

The film was superb! Like E.T. meets Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was rib-tickling hilarious. I loved it! I give it 5/5.

<lj-embed id="614" />

Christmas remake idea: It's a Wonderful Life

I am aware that a possible remake won't do justice as the original, but it would be nice to have a modern adaptation to it.

Casts:
Nicholas Cage as George Bailey
Maria Bello as Mary Hatch Bailey
John Noble as Clarence Odbody
Donald Sutherland as Mr. Henry F. Potter
Kevin Kline as Uncle Billy
Bradley Cooper as Harry Bailey
Lucy Liu as Violet

The plot would be the same; George Bailey wishes he was never born and an angel shows him what life would be like wothout him. He then realises that he had "a wonderful life" after all.

But if any of you think the cast choice isn't good, then please by all means tell me your opinions, who do you think would be better suited for each role.

But now Katniss puts everything at risk to save the one person he cares about: Peeta Mellark(Hutcherson). Only for everyone to witness the Capitol's shocking new secret weapon!

The film was mind-blowing superb, with bits I didn't see coming. Jennifer Lawrence was epic! I can't wait for part 2 next year, but until then I give it 4/5.

<lj-embed id="609" />

<lj-embed id="610" />
Monster Encyclopedia - recap...and more!

I've decided to post this new encyclopedia on monsters. Figured some of you might've missed those posts, so I thought I make a recap. I even have new information that has come to light.
Plus, there's many more monsters you should know, but alas I do'nt have much as I have this month and the next left before my departure, so I wanna get it all done.

Anyway, here are my extensive knowledge on different kinds of monsters.

Vampires - The vampire is an immortal monster that feeds on the blood of the living. They are basically the stuff of nightmares, they are as terrifying as they are powerful. The most deadliest predator in the world, you cannot outrun them nor beat them in a fight.
Abilities: When a vampire attacks, black veins appear on their faces and their eyes become blood red as their pupils widened till it looks black. They also have sharp fangs concealed as they retract it for when feeding on a human or animal. Vampires also possess superhuman strength, speed and stamina and are immortal and can heal themselves from any injury, even ones that could kill an ordinary human.
Weaknesses: Vampires are weak against sunlight. They won't combust into flames immediately though, they will slowly burn, but they will burn none the less. Silver is also effective against vampires. A holy cross can repel almost every vampire(except for the oldest), and they can easily be burned by holy water. Basically an ordinary sword or bullet might be effective, as long as it's blessed. Furthermore, kill a vampire by either decapitation of the head or impalement of the heart.
NOTES: By drinking a vampire's blood, you become a vampire. But only for three days for which after that you become human again, as long as you resist drinking human blood(for doing so will make the transformation permanent). And the oldest vampires(known as the Old Ones) are the most powerful vampires and rule their kind as lords to in renaissance times.
http://doubleholmes.livejournal.com/143543.html

Werewolves - The werewolf, or Lycan(short ot lycanthrope) is a monsterous animal. By day, it appears as an ordinary man. But at night, especially at the fullmoon, it becomes a wolf man; part man, part beast. It is rage and savagery incarnate. Even vampires fear them.
Abilities: A werewolf has enhanced strength, speed, stamina and healing abilities. They can also control their transformation at will every night, except for a fullmoon where their full werewolf powers are unleashed, and at the same time uncontrollable. Their bit can also turn humans into one of them, while at the same time is poison to vampires(including their blood).
Weaknesses: Like vampires, a werewolf's weakness is silver. The very thing that can kill them. Also try to aim for their hearts or remove their heads, as long as it's silver(such as silver bullets or shotguns with silver shards inside each shell or swords and axes coated in silver). Other minerals that can hurt them can be effective as well; mistletoe can sting them, nightshade can poisen them, mountain ash can repel them.
NOTES: There is a cure for a werewolf bite. The answer lies in the two minerals that ironaically can harm a wereolf; nightshade and mistletoe. While nightshade is poison, mistletoe does very little, but can reduce the poison of the nightshade(as two minerals with negative effects will counter eachother and end up becoming a positive). Simply mix the two together with a bit of holy water(to purify the soul) and you have a cure that will mainly kill the wolf within without harming the human part. But you must take the cure before the the fullmoon(the first transformation) or the transformation will be permanent, but until then you will gain wolf-like abilities(enhanced strength, speed relfexes, stamina and sense). There are two kinds of werewolves; those who are bitten, and those who are born(they are called purebreds).
http://doubleholmes.livejournal.com/143729.html

Witches - Witches are sadistic devil worshipers. They studied the black arts of dark magic. They are hideous, evil women who are as cunning as they are dangerous.
Abilities: Witches are stronger and faster than mortal man and are durable. They also study witchcraft and black magic, which means they can cast spells with their wands which are(along with their broomsticks for flying) carved from a dying oak tree, possibly from a haunted forest. They also use voodoo as a second resort.
Weakness: Cut off a witches head. But the most effective way is setting them on fire. Iron is very effective on witches as well; burns them the same way as silver does to vampires. And holy rock salt wards them away.
NOTES: The witches were once women, ordinary women who were seduced by black magic. The creature known as witch(or hideous, evil woman) dated back in the Dark Ages. The Dark Ages was not a pleasant time for women, back then they were treated like properties and live stock rather than wives, daughters and sisters to men; wether it was arranged marriages or forced prostitution(either to pay off gambling depts or abandonment).Either way, these women suffer abuse, and desire everyday freedom and power. This allows the Devil to take advantage and offer them what they want; with black magic. When a witch uses black magic, it slowly corrupts them, not only damning their souls but effects their physical appearances as well. There would show rotting on the teeth, skin and eyes. The stories of witches eating children is technically true. And they can also hide their form using a spell(which requires heart of a (female)virign), but Grand Witches are powerful enough to shapeshift without such a spell. Basically, a witch preys on the weak, and feeds on the pure. There are also male witches called warlocks, which is rare to happen and only few of them exist.
http://doubleholmes.livejournal.com/144951.html

Demons - Demons are spawns of hell, the descendants of The Devil himself. They come in different shapes and sizes and appear in many forms. The can be anyone you know, They are the embodiment of evil.
Abilities: A demon possesses superhuman strength and speed, they also master the elements of fire and shadow. Most of them even have telekinesis. Demons also have the abilities of possession and shapeshifting. Most demons possess humans, while some can shapeshift to look like a human. These two abilities allow them to hide amongst us mortals.
Weaknesses: When you 'kill' a demon they combust in an explosive fire. That is known as 'descending'. A demons is also vulnerable to holy water and holy marks(not just the mark of Christ, but the mark of the angel Michael as well). And holy rock salt and repel them. In the end, true strength comes from faith.
NOTES: They say that when the Devil was cast into hell, he created the demons to spite God. He created the first demon known as Lilith(one of first few demons to be created by the Devil) to go to earth to seduce men(sometimes raping them if they refuse) and give birth to more demons. But even mortals become demons, when they sell their souls. Once a human sells his or her soul, it is damned and once sent to hell they will be tortured and brainwashed until eventually hell itself deforms them into demons. Demons and witches share a mutual loyalty to the Devil as the Devil created demons and gave witches their powers.
http://doubleholmes.livejournal.com/147047.html

Dragons - Dragons, or "Fire Drakes", are fire-breathing reptiles with wings. Teeth and talons sharper than swords, scales harder than armour, and wings that flap so hard you could hear a load wind noise from a mile away. These are terrifying yet mysterious beasts of magic!
Abilities: As usual, dragons are able to breath fire, yet they don't just do that, some of them can also breath ice. They can also fly. Their scales are ten times stronger than chainmail and armour which makes them nearly invlnerable. Dragon's blood is also very poisonous, even when dragon's blood hit water it's suddenly set on fire. Fire ON water. There are a few dragons that have the magical power of shapeshifting, in human form in order to blend in amongst humans. Some dragons are very intelligent, even mastered the abillity of speech. Basically, the dragons are just as powerful as they are dangerous.
Weaknesses: As I said before, a dragon's scale make it almost invulnerable, ALMOST invulnerable. What you need is the right metal to kill them, or at least a weapon enchanted with dragon's breath(which would make it stronger) or one forged by the gods. But say you were able to have either of that, you would then have to decapitate a dragon or impale them in the heart(though their hearts are always on the right side instead of the left, for some reason).
NOTES: A dragon's teeth is said to summon a demonic army after planting each teeth like seeds.
http://doubleholmes.livejournal.com/149471.html

Orcs - Monsterous soldiers, they decimate all things pure and living. They are strong, and attack in huge numbers. Orcs are servants of darkness and enemies of the light.
Abilities: Orcs are very strong, have a highten smell and have almost durable skin.
Weaknesses: Despite their abilites, orcs can be killed the same way as humans can be killed.
NOTES: Orcs are very cruel, even to eachother. And they would've killed eachother as well, and the only thing that keeps them together is the loyalty towhat they fear, a dark power that they serve. Orcs are also known to be sadistic, always thinking hard what to do to their enemies; brutally kill them, torture them slowly or hunt them down for sport.
http://doubleholmes.livejournal.com/176034.html

Berserkers - More beast than man, common soldiers and ordinary men see a berserker at first glance, and flee. Berserkers are the super-soldiers of the Dark Ages, they know no fear, know no pain, know no mercy. They lust for battle and crave for human flesh.
Abilities: Berserkers are incredibly strong, very fast, and their skin tough like chainmail. A single berserker can decimate a garrison(total 30) of men within 5 minutes, and can punch a hole through a stone wall. They also have the ability to heal. Heal slowly, but heal none the less.
Weaknesses: Berserkers are difficult to kill, given their tough skin, dense bone and mild healing ability. It would require great amount of strength and courage to defeat a berserker.
NOTES: The berserkers are quite large, wear animal hide and bones. The berserkers' enemies are whoever they fight. But as they are of Norse mythology it is possible that their only enemy are the Vikings, as they are warriors with no fear. There are also female berserkes called Furies.
http://doubleholmes.livejournal.com/177119.html

Wendigo - The Wendigo, once man now an animal lives in the woods. It hungers for flesh of men. It hides in the shadows. You cannot see it, but the wendigo sees you. You cannot find it, but the wendio will find you. Fleeing is futile, the flesh-eating men of the woods always catches their prey. The wendigo is the Boogeyman of the woods.
Abilities: Wendigos are incredibly strong, and very fast and can heal their wounds in a fast rate. Their claws can slice a tree trunk cleaver through meat. They also have the ability to camouflage near rocks and trees, which makes them very difficult to find yet easier for them hunt, and their prey won't even know it. They also gain strength and sustain their life via consuming human flesh.
Weaknesses: While silver can hurt them, fire can destroy them for good.
NOTES: Wendigos are predators and cannibals; feasting on human flesh, which strengthens them and sustains their life span(immortal). And while wendigos hunt in the woods, they sometimes prefer hunting in the night, particularly when it's winter.
http://doubleholmes.livejournal.com/178758.html

Chimera - Chimera, one part lion, one part goat, one part serpent, all terror! It is a hybrid of all hybrids, an apex predator of all apex predators. The chimera has the strength of every beast it's part of, and none of their weaknesses. The true king of the beasts.
Abilities: The lion head releases ember flames from its mouth while the goat head drools a highly flammable substance. The two heads working together with the supstance through their mouths create explosive results. The snake on the other hand has venomous acid that burns from metal to flesh, while by bite causes slow and agonising pain before finally death.
Weaknesses: You must cut off all three heads, but start with the snake head for even that can control the rest of the body(if you were able to cut off the front two heads). But a more effective way is to use its own ability against it.
NOTES: Chimeras date back from Ancient Greece, the times of great heroes like Hercules, Achilles and Perseus. It is also said to be the offspring of Echidna, the "Mother of all Monsters", and is said to be a sibling of such monsters as Cerberus and the Nemean Lion. There are also different types of chiemras, besides the basic ones.
http://doubleholmes.livejournal.com/182169.html

Giants - Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum! Ask not whence the thunder comes, ask not why the birds go south. If the sun itself is blocked when it is only a clear day, run! Giants bring chaos and destruction upon their wake. Be you alive or be you dead, they'll crush your bones to make their bread!
Abilities: Due to their size, giants have incredible strength and durability and are nearly invulnerable.
Weaknesses: Giants are large, but they have small weak points, particularly deep incision at the nape of the neck, which could kill them. As well as on the ligaments of the ankle, which will slow them down.
NOTES: Giants stand from 50ft to 60ft tall. Some giants look a bit like us, but bigger, way bigger. While other giants appear in different forms; some have two heads while most have a horn or two, and others have four or six arms. And there's a few who have rock-like skin. But what remains the same, are their gigantic size.
http://doubleholmes.livejournal.com/183401.html
