Information Technologies Directorate

Koç University Directorate of Information Technologies delivers secure, uninterrupted, and high-performance IT services by managing the innovative digital infrastructure that supports the university’s academic and administrative processes. In line with its digital transformation vision, it continuously improves the infrastructure, enhances user experience, and implements sustainable IT solutions. Through its work in areas such as network management, data security, software services, user support, and system administration, it strengthens Koç University’s vision of a modern and technologically advanced campus.

Security Management

Provides uninterrupted security service on a 24/7 basis utilizing technological means to ensure the safety of life and property on the Koç University campus so that educational activities can continue without interruption.

Koç University Legal Counsel provides guidance on legal matters to all academic and administrative units of the university. Its aim is to help create a fair university environment by protecting the rights of students and employees and by making legal processes clear and accessible. It offers services across a wide range of areas, including higher education legislation, labor law, contracts, intellectual property, and disciplinary and ethical procedures. It is committed to building communication based on trust, sharing up-to-date legal information, and providing solutions that best meet the needs of the university community.

Construction Group Management

Projected, coordinate construction and realise project management of the additional building projects which planned in parallel with the numerical and physical growth of the Koç University. To provide the perfect atmosphere proper for world class educations and scientific researches, prepares projects related to the space demands that arise with the change and increase of the needs over time, organised and construct according to renovation projects. Prepare annual repair and maintenance program and their budget for all buildings within Koç University and executes the construction operating, solve all the daily maintenance and urgent construction problems which claimed by employees without effected life of the campus. Aim; to realise all constructional works within the scheduled period of time, with the desired quality and with the most appropriate cost.

Procurement Group Management

The aims of the department are; to plan, to carry out, to coordinate and to inspect activities related to the realisation and registration of purchases of goods and services in keeping the requirements and needs of the units, in accordance with the objectives, principles and instructions set forth in the Koç University procedures as well as in accordance with the applicable law and relevant legislation.

Technical Operations Group Management

The goal of the Koç University Technical Directorate is to maintain the highest possible comfort level for students, as well as academic and administrative staff, at minimal cost. All mechanical and electrical systems can be monitored through the Building Management System computer and programmed weekly according to usage cycles.

Housing Management

Koç University offers a total dormitory capacity of 3,193 students, with 1,822 beds on the Rumelifeneri Campus and 1,371 on the West Campus. The Rumelifeneri Campus has 21 dormitory buildings, while the West Campus has 7, providing room options ranging from single to five-person occupancy. Aiming to enhance students’ quality of life, the Directorate of Dormitory and Housing Services operates 24/7 with a team of 36 staff members, and Dormitory Supervisors provide continuous support throughout students’ adaptation and daily needs. Koç University dormitories are categorized into four types based on their location and building structure.
