Friday: Scariest Book I've Ever Read:

It's actually not a book but a short story: George RR Martin's Sandkings. Yes, the GRRM of Game of Thrones fame, which I have not started reading because I want the series completed first.

The premise: a pet store sells exotic pets, and the protagonist buys some. He's told he can condition them (like Pavlov). And things start to go wrong ...
