What is Incented?
Creating a world where everyone can work on whatever they are most passionate about, while being rewarded equitably for their efforts.
The Human Coordination Protocol
Incented is a permissionless incentivization and coordination protocol that powers incentive programs for grant, hackathons, bounties, and community-led initiatives. It makes coordination simple and incentives transparent through blockchain-based mechanisms.

The Problem
Communities fail at coordination, not ambition.
- Opaque decision-making - Unclear why certain projects get funded
- Low-quality voting - No consequences for uninformed or biased votes
- Misaligned incentives - Voters and reviewers have no stake in outcomes
- Manual overhead - Complex settlement and distribution processes
The pain is real:
"I contributed for months and got nothing."
"The loudest voices always win."
"Nobody knows who did what."
The problem isn't ideas. It's coordination infrastructure.
The Solution
Incented is infrastructure for transparent, fair, incentive-aligned collaboration:
| Principle | How It Works |
|---|---|
| Every contribution is tracked | Submissions tied to wallet addresses, on-chain settlement |
| Every vote has skin in the game | Stake tokens to vote, real consequences for choices |
| Every reward is transparent | Award pools and distributions visible to all |
The Carrot & Stick
At the heart of Incented is Conviction Voting. Stake tokens to express belief in submissions:
- 🥕 The Carrot: Vote correctly → earn rewards proportional to your stake
- 🔨 The Stick: Vote incorrectly → lose a percentage of your stake
Consequence is part of truthful coordination.
How It Works
Incented runs on a simple loop: define what you want, let people contribute, have the community decide, then reward everyone fairly. Every step is transparent, and every participant has skin in the game.

1. Set the Stage
An organization creates an Incentive Program - a structured call for contributions with clear goals and rewards. They define:
- What they're looking for - The type of work or submissions they want
- The award pool - Tokens set aside for winning contributors
- The voting reward pool - Rewards for community members who help evaluate and choose winners
- The slash percentage - The penalty for voters who make uninformed decisions by backing losing submissions
- The rules - How winners are selected (top performers or meeting a quality threshold)
This isn't a black box. Everyone can see the terms upfront.
2. Contribute
Contributors discover programs and submit their work. The barrier is low - you don't even need a wallet connected to submit, just a reward address where you'd like to receive your award tokens if you win.
This opens participation to anyone with good ideas, not just crypto natives.
3. Signal & Stake
Community members don't just vote - they stake tokens to signal their conviction:
- Vote FOR with stake → You believe this submission deserves to win
- Vote AGAINST with stake → You believe it shouldn't win
- Stake more → You're more confident in your assessment
Your stake is your credibility on the line. This filters out noise and rewards thoughtful evaluation.
4. Validate & Reward
When voting closes, the protocol settles everything automatically:
- Winners determined - Based on net conviction (FOR stakes minus AGAINST stakes)
- Contributors rewarded - Winners receive their share of the award pool
- Correct voters rewarded - Those who backed winners or voted against losing submissions, earn from the voting reward pool
- Incorrect voters slashed - Those who opposed winners, or backed losing submissions, lose a portion of their stake
Transactions are queued to the organization's multisig wallet for final approval, then rewards flow on-chain. No manual spreadsheets, no payment delays, no disputes about who deserves what.
Who Uses Incented?
Different roles, different motivations - but everyone benefits from transparent coordination.
Program Managers
Run incentive programs for your organization. Define goals, fund pools, and let the protocol handle distribution.
Contributors
Find opportunities and get rewarded for your work. No gatekeepers - your submission speaks for itself.
Voters
Earn by helping communities make good decisions. Your judgment has value - stake on it.
Supported Blockchains
Incented is multi-chain by design, with native support for two ecosystems:
| Ecosystem | Chains | Multisig |
|---|---|---|
| EVM | All EVM-compatible chains (Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, etc.) | Safe Protocol |
| Solana | Mainnet & Devnet | Squads Protocol |
For EVM chains, Incented works anywhere Safe Protocol is deployed. New chains can be enabled on request - the infrastructure is chain-agnostic.
Need a specific chain enabled? Contact us and we can add it quickly.
