This winter, Elmira Correctional Facility donated more than 105 pounds of coats, hats, and gloves to those in need within their community.

Altona CF held a toy drive to support North Country Health and Wellness’ “Operation Snowflake.” Staff donated toys and $2,200 raised through an employee cornhole tournament and staff donations.
Cardinal Dolan visited Green Haven CF to celebrate Mass ahead of Thanksgiving. The Mass was held in St. Paul’s Chapel, built within the prison walls.
DOCCS’ Albany Area Office hosted a Friends and Family Open House, providing an opportunity for those under community supervision and their supportive networks to meet with staff and community partners.
DOCCS’ Queens/LI Region Reentry Unit hosted a job fair at the Roosevelt Library in Nassau Co. More than 50 releasees attended, at which they could speak with 11 community partners.
Riverview CF’s horticulture program donated 600 pumpkins to local elementary students in Ogdensburg, Lisbon, and Heuvelton. The students were surprised and thankful to have their own pumpkins!
