by Last Updated: Mar 19, 2025Blog, WordPress Tips

In today’s new age of modern computer systems, many things are possible to do with AI. And in case you have been wondering if it is possible to proofread your WordPress articles or blog posts with AI too, I can clearly say that yes, this is possible as well. Read on this article, as I will try to summarize in it how it works and how you can take advantage of this. If you don’t take advantage of this, you risk falling behind.

Introduction

It is important to maintain error-free content on your WordPress websites. And yes, it can also be a challenge to produce and publish high-quality texts across the portfolio of your websites or blogs. That is where AI tools come into play. They are completely revolutionizing the proofreading process.

New AI Era Begins

I think that the era of manually sending all your texts to another person to correct your grammar on these articles is coming to an end. With the quick rise of the use of artificial intelligence (AI), this field has been evolving in a clear direction in recent years. Nowadays, all you need to proofread the texts that you have written and want to publish on your WordPress blog or website is a smart online AI tool that will correct your grammar errors in seconds.

Why Proofreading Matters for WordPress Sites

These AI utilities can help correct spelling and grammar errors in your blog articles. They can also be useful for improving readability problems that affect user engagement. Moreover, they can help you to create a technical jargon balance for various audiences.

Other AI Functions for Images

There are many other similar AI tools. For example, AI can write alt text for your images too. It is important to have descriptive alt texts on your images on your website or blog. It can improve your SEO and accessibility. And that is when AI tools can play a role.

Below I will also try to review and briefly summarize some of the top proofreading tools that use AI.

Top AI Proofreading Tools

Here are some of the top online AI tools that you can use for your texts. Most of them come with a freemium version too, which might be more than enough for you if you don’t need to proofread hundreds of WordPress articles. One small tip that I can give you, before you start using them, is to sign up for an account with each one of them. This will allow you to increase the limits of these tools for their free usage. Or you can first try them and register just with your favorite one from all these three.

Note: These are standalone AI writing assistants that work outside of WordPress. I will mention some integrated WordPress grammar correction plugins as well at the end of this article.

Now, here we go to my list:

ChatGPT

Obviously, the number one AI proofreading tool on my list is ChatGPT. I have listed it as number one because it was the first official AI tool that was released in 2022. It is run by the OpenAI company that has been founded by Sam Altman. This tool can do many great things, not just proofread your texts. Actually, I personally use it to ask it various questions, for which I need answers. And to proofread a blog article, the tool mentioned below is better for that.

QuillBot

This AI tool is more suitable for proofreading text and correcting grammar. Yes, it has many other functions (for example, AI translations as well), but I mainly use this tool for proofreading texts that I have written. It is really easy to use. You just load its website, paste your text, and it will automatically mark all the errors that you have made and will offer you corrections. You can correct these with one click, one by one. In my opinion, it is a really great tool. You should give it a try.

Perplexity AI

Perplexity is another great AI tool. I use it as an alternative to ChatGPT in cases when I prefer to not use ChatGPT. Overall, I would say that it is pretty similar to ChatGPT, even in the way it is set up and how it works. Some people might find it even better than ChatGPT. I would definitely suggest you give this tool a try to see how smart it is.

Integrated WordPress Plugins for Proofreading

There are many WordPress integrations that are built and maintained to help you correct your grammatical errors on your WP websites and blogs. I will not be reviewing them all in detail here, but I will at least mention some of them. Some of the top ones include Grammarly for WordPress, Yoast SEO, ProWritingAid, WP Spell Check, and TinyMCE Advanced. And there are many others. Literally, I believe you will find hundreds of great assistant-type plugins in the WordPress repository.

Conclusion

All the tools that I have mentioned in this article work great for me, and I believe they will work perfectly for you too. Even this particular article has been proofread by QuillBot. Moreover, the big advantage of these tools is that they are free. You would need the premium version only in the case if you would become an advanced user with lots of texts to check and correct grammar.

I would advise everyone to give a try to at least one of these tools. You may find your favorite one from them. Or you might also prefer to use something different. In any case, if you don’t at least try them, you might get left behind in the future by other writers who use them. You might also like to combine these tools one by one and find your ideal workflow process or combination.

It is also important to maintain the human touch in final edits in order to not get your articles penalized by Google or other search engines for publishing content that is not unique.

I believe this article will help you to familiarize yourself with the new world of AI and article writing. Good luck on that!
