The program analyzes several key areas of your system to detect unnecessary files that can be removed safely, without affecting your system configuration or personal information. DiskMax, however, offers you an original user interface, which is pretty different compared with other disk-optimization tools. First of all, the program allows you to select among several scan profiles, namely "User", "All Users", "System", and "System+". According to your selection, the analyzable areas of your disk will vary slightly. Next, the program goes asking you what specific areas you want to optimize, one by one. Among the most remarkable ones are Microsoft Office install cache, the recycle bin, Windows Update temporary files, the prefetch folder, Windows log files, disk defragmentation, and deep system scan.
