Can I self-host on any plan?
Yes. Self-hosting is available on every tier. Directus Cloud is an optional add-on at $99/mo for Core and Team. Enterprise cloud pricing is custom.
What is the Open Innovation Grant?
Organizations under $5M in annual revenue and fewer than 50 employees qualify for fully permissive access to Directus at no software cost. Self-hosted is completely free. Cloud hosting is $99/mo.
Is SSO available on Core?
No. SSO is not available on Core and cannot be added as an add-on. SSO is included on Team with additional seats available at $50/seat/mo. If SSO is a requirement, you need Team, Enterprise, or our Grant.
What counts as a collection?
A collection maps directly to a database table. Core includes 25 collections, Team includes 50 (expandable to 100), and Enterprise starts at 200+.
What counts as a seat?
A seat is any team member who logs into Directus Studio. Core includes 3 seats (hard limit). Team includes 10 SSO seats with additional seats at $50/seat/mo.
What's the difference between annual and monthly billing?
Team is $499/mo with an annual commitment ($5,988/year) or $599/mo on a rolling monthly basis. Enterprise pricing is custom.
Why is there nothing between Core and $499/mo?
The Open Innovation Grant is the bridge for eligible organizations. Under $5M in annual revenue and fewer than 50 employees get a fully permissive license for free on self-hosted, or at $99/mo on cloud (hosting only).
What happens to my current plan?
No existing customer will be forced onto new pricing immediately. Monthly plans are grandfathered for six months. Annual plans are honored until renewal. Self-hosted licenses are handled case-by-case at renewal.
