Adele Greenfield: Social and Emotional Learning, Visual Art, Dance (clogging & salsa) workshops

When students dance, learn to stand up to bullies, create art, or practice de-stressing strategies, they’re not just having fun, they’re building life skills. Seeing that joy and confidence on a child’s face tells me I’m in the right place at the right time.

With a background in psychotherapy and published articles in magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Working Woman, and Women’s Day, I bring both creativity and real-world expertise to my programs. I’ve led workshops for adults and families internationally and have been a trusted provider in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ After School Enrichment Program for over 20 years. Every two years, my programs are reviewed, and my contract has been consistently renewed — most recently through 2027.

I hold a BA from a Montreal (Canada) university, an MA from Case Western Reserve University, and completed three years toward a doctorate. I began teaching in both private elementary and college classrooms soon after graduation, giving me a broad perspective on education at all levels.

Each of my programs is tailored to the unique needs of your students. Content and length are flexible, and I also provide support for teachers who want to extend SEL lessons in the classroom.

Programs are designed to weave in powerful life lessons. A “Dance to De-Stress” class builds resilience. A self-defense workshop strengthens self-confidence. “Salsa Line Dance” and “Clogging for Joy” show how diverse cultures contributed to these dance forms, creating unity through rhythm. Students may forget the steps, but they’ll remember the message: when we dance, create, and imagine together, we discover that art unites us all.
