DirectMii is the next evolution in communication from paper and poster plans to personalised interactive digital technology. DirectMii allows for automated two-way communication between people and the building controllers. Requests for evacuation plans can be downloaded to a user's smartphone via a data connection, containing instructions on routes, refuge areas and locations of evacuation equipment. People can download the app, fill out their profile and, where businesses have the DirectMii interface, receive an evacuation plan. This can also be personal to the individual if they are disabled or require assistance. This is live information and can be monitored and given to emergency services if an evacuation is needed, for them to locate people who may need assistance or rescue.
Requires iOS 8.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
