Weoley Castle is coming to life with history-inspired fun for everyone.
Weoley Castle is the remains of a fortified manor house located in the Birmingham district of Weoley Castle, a primarily residential area, in the English West Midlands. Owned by Birmingham City Council and administered as a community museum by Birmingham Museums Trust, it is a Grade II listed building and a Scheduled monument. The castle was on Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register, but was removed in 2009 following repair work.

DigVentures is joining Birmingham and Warwickshire Archaeological Society to build new connections between local residents and Weoley Castle; the Grade II listed ruins located in the heart of the community.
Get creative at the castle with workshops, join the historical dots between stories old and new, and find new ways to learn, create, and have fun in Weoley.
Together, we’ll discover how our experiences of living, working, and growing up here are connected to the people who lived here before us.
