// FAQ //
"What is this game about?" ----From the profile, "Chrestomathic is a Naruto based AU roleplay, where the characters happen to be part of a special program of their university/college. Said programs offer them internships in various work places, depending on their grades, of course. They must keep a blog of their experience in a real work place, and occasionally meet with the teachers to discuss their time. This is a great opportunity to know what working in the real world feels like, and to take the next few steps into adulthood. Of course, it's not going to be that easy, and the characters will have to work hard not to get kicked out of the program." As it says, characters that are students will be participating in a program that places them in various work places to earn school credit, and teachers will oversee their progress during it. There are several different choices, which will be explained in the next part of the FAQ. "Internships?! Our characters are working?!" ----Yes! Your characters have been chosen to participate in this program to give them work experience for the ~*~*~real world~*~*~. Whatever their grades, or background, the students are placed into the program, and then once a student's grade has been looked at, they are placed into the internship judged appropriate for them. The teachers in charge of the project lead students in the different areas, and to evaluate the work and improvements and they go through. Both students and teachers will keep a weekly journal of their experiences. Once a week, your characters will have a day of classes, made specially for those in the program. The classes will be on Mondays, and the students will meet occasionally meet for a group session to discuss their experiences, and what they've learned. And now! A list of the internships:
Of course, you can suggest other options, but the choice to accept them or not remains ours. Try make something that would appeal to more people, so your character isn't the only one working in it. "Teachers? What do they do for the students?" ----Teachers guide the students, make sure they're representing the school in a good way, and grade them. They will be working with the students occasionally, and when they aren't, they need to check on the students and their employers at least once a week. "What about the adults? Who are they?" ----The adults are the people the students will be working for: in other words, a lawyer, a doctor, a graphic designer or a janitor. "So who exactly is the head teacher?" ----The head teacher is controlled by the mods through this account. The Head Teacher basically informs the teachers what their students should be doing. With this account, we will be handing out 'events' and also using it for activity checks. Technically, the Activity check will be the day all of the teachers meet with the Head Teacher to give them an update on their students and to hand in grades. While this 'grading' happens, it is up to player what happens with their characters' grade. Try to make it somewhat realistic. If the student is ditching his internship work all time, I doubt he's getting an A. "So how does posting work here?" ----Students and teachers will post in their own journals for their assignments, and while they need to post once a week for the program, they can also post for personal/recreational reasons, private posts and filtered posts to certain people. They can post video and voice posts. Logs and IM conversations need to be posted in chrestomathic."Do you use PBs here/What are PBs?" ----CURRENTLY, We are holding voting through the Applications to decide this. PBs (or played-by's) are icons use actors/singers/ect. that you use to portray your character. If this comm decides to use them, please pick a PB ( hollow_art is a good place to start.) that fits your character, and PLEASE try not to use overused PBs such as Gackt or Hyde. Be creative and original! ♥"Where does all of this take place?" ----This takes place in a fairly large North American city. The college your characters are attending/work at is (Konoha University. "How does this alternate universe work? Do all characters know each other?" ----This is actually up to the players. If you wish for your characters to have known each other in the past, you're free to do so. Remember, however, that we encourage you stay IC, so making Kiba and Shizune twins doesn't work. Try to stay reasonable. It's assumed that most characters have an idea of who everyone else is, considering they are part of a program and have likely seen each other before. As this is an AU, it means that none of them have any knowledge of ninjutsu, genjutsu, etc. It's possible for your character to be an adept of martial arts, but no magic or super powers in our world, so none in this one, either. Cellphones, movies, books, television, games, all of that exist for them. The blogging service they use is actually Livejournal (this is to keep things simple: no need to make up terms for a blog service that doesn't exist), however they obviously don't have access to anything that talks about Naruto itself or any of the communities/websites/published magazines/manga volumes that relate to it. |
