How Does Dibi8 Curate Its Open-Source AI Tools?
The Dibi8 editorial team screens each tool against four criteria: active maintenance (commits within the last 90 days), a recognised open-source license (MIT, Apache-2.0, AGPL, etc.), a real installation path that works on a fresh machine, and genuine developer utility. Tools that pass are added to the catalog; tools that go dormant are flagged or removed on the next daily sweep.
Is Dibi8 Free to Use?
Yes — completely free, with no account required. Dibi8 is funded by affiliate partnerships with a small number of developer-focused services. Every affiliate relationship is disclosed, and it never influences which tools are listed or how they are ranked. The ranking algorithm is based solely on GitHub stars, recency, and editorial score.
How Often Is the Dibi8 Catalog Updated?
