Inspiration

With the theme of the hackathon is space, we want to create something with stars. Therefore, we created a voice app to find out about your zodiac sign and facts about it.

What it does

The voice app is a hand-free way of asking your smart assistant what your zodiac sign is by providing your birthday. You can ask facts about your signs and find out the date ranges for different zodiac signs.

How we built it

We built it on Node.js using the Jovo framework. We utilized Google Dialogflow to create Voice user interface. We build the application via Actions on Google platform

Challenges we ran into

Dealing with dates is really difficult. We had a hard time converting and comparing dates

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are pretty proud that we are first time hackathon hackers and were able to create an app in 24 hours

What we learned

More experience working with Json. Our team for the first time collaborated on a Github repository

What's next for ZodiacFinder

We will add compatibility and also port the app to Alexa.
