Inspiration
What inspired us to do this web app was the concern of people not knowing what their food contains. This web app is intended to make life easier for those who are allergic to specific ingredients.
What it does
It allows the user to search a food product and look at the ingredients.
How we built it
We used Flask, OpenFoodAPI, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a couple of challenges, such as not being able to connect the frontend to the backend properly, and the API we used crashing for some time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of how the front-end turned out in terms of design and how well it works with the backend.
What we learned
We learned a lot of different technologies throughout the project.
What's next for YumYum
We can add different features based on the data that the API returns.
