Inspiration
We noticed many young people have brilliant ideas for improving their communities but lack a space to share them. That inspired us to build YouthVoice — a platform that empowers youths to post their ideas, see others’ suggestions, and make a difference.
What It Does
YouthVoice allows users to:
- Post their ideas with a title, category, and description
- View ideas shared by others
- Upvote the ones they like most
It’s a digital space for young changemakers to connect and act.
How We Built It
We built YouthVoice using v0 for layout and front-end structure, with simple HTML/CSS for styling. AI tools helped organize ideas and speed up testing.
Challenges
Designing a simple, welcoming interface and making idea posting intuitive were our main challenges. We learned how to balance simplicity with impact.
What We Learned
We learned how even a small digital space can give young people a platform to express themselves and start change.
What’s Next
We plan to add:
- Comment sections for collaboration
- Weekly featured ideas
- Youth-community challenges
