Inspiration

We wanted to create a fun and visual finance website where a person keeps track of the money.

What it does

This personal finance management website allows one to track the money spent per month. We attempted to create our best financial hack. This personal finance management website allows one to track the money spent per month. However, they have a budget that they can set themselves to per month. To make our site more interactive, we included a personal finance runner who will run as you spend money. If the runner continues running, that will notify the person to stop spending their money and notify them about that they are going over budget.

How we built it

We used HTML and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

We couldn't finish the project and figure out how we would stop the runner at a position where it shows how much the user has spent.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This was our first hackathon and it was our first time designing a website with html and css.

What we learned

We learned some basic use of html and css.

What's next for Your Personal Financial Runner!

We hope to find out what we further need in our code and why our runner was not able to stop. We wanted to connect the progress bar and the runner in order to correctly display the amount the user is spending, but we couldn't solve that. We hope to solve this problem by learning more about html, css, and javascript which we didn't have the knowledge to use. We especially hope to learn javascript in the future in order to solve issues like this.
