Inspiration
In developing nations, where there are not many medical facilities, it is hard for people to get any medical advice, or any natural cure (yoga, herbs, etc.) to any illness. Also, during the pandemic, it is not safe for people to go to the doctor’s office if they have any illness or disease.
What it does
The application, the YogiDoc@Home can help to predict if any person has any illness based on the given symptoms. The user must enter five symptoms that they have out of the list of many symptoms, and the application will predict an illness that the user may have out of 41 illnesses along with some home remedies, and yoga asanas to help cure the disease.
How we built it
Backend: Python3.9 and RandomForest (sklearn) Frontend: Tkinter (Python module)
Challenges we ran into
Making the ML work accurately given 5 symptoms.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Finishing the project with 83% accuracy (based on limited time)
What we learned
How to incorporate ML with medical and ayurvedic/yoga.
What's next for YogiDoc@Home
Validation with experts (Apollo, Fortis, etc.) More languages (for rural people) Making a mobile app Exploring partnership opportunities with wireless providers (Jio, Vodafone, Airtel) Improve the AI Connection with a doctor, if the disease is serious
