Inspiration: YieldHunter was born from the complexity of DeFi yield farming, where managing multiple protocols overwhelms even seasoned investors. We envisioned an autonomous solution to simplify and maximize returns on the NEAR blockchain.
What it does: YieldHunter is a web app that autonomously optimizes DeFi portfolios by monitoring NEAR protocols like Ref Finance, Burrow, and Meta Pool in real-time. It analyzes APYs, executes smart contract transactions to move funds to higher-yielding opportunities, and tracks performance with detailed logs, all while prioritizing user safety.
How we built it: Using React and TypeScript with Vite, we created a sleek frontend dashboard for real-time portfolio tracking. The backend leverages near-api-js for blockchain interactions and Supabase for secure data storage, integrating seamlessly with NEAR wallets like MyNearWallet.
Challenges: Integrating multiple DeFi protocol APIs and ensuring reliable real-time data fetching posed significant hurdles. We also tackled optimizing transaction costs while maintaining security on the testnet.
Accomplishments: We’re proud of achieving a fully autonomous agent with robust risk assessment and a user-friendly dashboard that visualizes yield trends. Our non-custodial, testnet-first approach ensures safety and transparency.
What we learned: Building YieldHunter taught us advanced risk management, smart contract optimization, and the importance of user-configurable parameters for trust and flexibility.
What’s next: We’re preparing for mainnet deployment, adding more protocols, and enhancing analytics for deeper insights. Try YieldHunter on NEAR testnet today at [your website/GitHub] and revolutionize your DeFi strategy!
