Yep Bot

Inspiration

My team and I have always been fascinated by discord bots and how they worked. YRHacks was the perfect opportunity for us to try out discord bots in a fun and competitive way.

What it does

Yep Bot has various commands such as: !add timer [seconds] - Sets a timer for the specified amount of time !level - Tracks your exp !help - Lists all available commands !coinflip - flips a coin !spam [user] - spams the user :) and a few secret commands!

How we built it

Yep Bot was built with repl.it and discord.py API. We used repl.it built-in database to store information.

Challenges we ran into

As this was our first time creating a discord bot, we ran into numerous issues. We initially had trouble accessing the repl.it database. Learning to use the discord.py API also had a steep learning curve but over the 24 hours everyone pulled through and made something that we all are proud of.
