That's exactly the spirit behind our Telegram mini-app. WYD Bot is here to be that friend you text, making sure you're never out of options for fun and connection.
What it does
Reimagining the casual 'What you doing' text, WYD Bot innovatively uses simple, everyday technology to foster real-world interactions, proving how a straightforward idea can generate a ripple effect of positive social connections.
How we built it
WYD Bot's technical foundation combines Python and FastAPI for a fast, reliable backend, PostgreSQL for data storage, and React for a responsive user interface. We've also integrated Elasticsearch to enhance search capabilities, ensuring users can quickly find relevant activities. This tech stack ensures WYD Bot is a scalable, efficient platform for community connection. in addition to our core technology stack, we initially populated WYD Bot with a comprehensive database of Points of Interest (POIs) from around the world, utilizing data from OpenStreetMap. This enriches our platform with a vast array of activity locations, directly accessible to our users, ensuring a global reach from day one.
What's next for WYD
Exciting developments are on the horizon for WYD Bot as we venture into the blockchain space with a transition to the TON blockchain. This move promises to revolutionize our platform with enhanced security, transparency, and user engagement. We're introducing a reward system to incentivize user participation, rewarding those who suggest and engage with activities. Additionally, we're embracing a decentralized approach by incorporating a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) for event planning. This will empower our users to have a direct impact on the platform's evolution, fostering a truly community-driven experience.
