In the year of 2014, human rights violations were recorded in over 90 countries and territories across the world, but not a single mention was made about these tragedies at schools. As high school students enter the working world, it is crucial for them to be informed citizens. That's why we created the W.I.G., a game through which students can learn about human rights.

The W.I.G. provides information about human rights violations to students in an interactive manner, sparking their interest in being an active part of the human rights movement. Through the medium of a game, the W.I.G. encourages youth social and political involvement, and strives to create a link between people in need and people who have the power to change their situation; students.

Our best features include : -our implementation of the Google Earth API to provide an interactive image of the Earth that students can play with -our use of scraping to extract data from the Amnesty International website -our use of popups to create an attractive user interface
