Inspiration

We were inspired by the world-changing idea proposed by the gods of YX to create a virtual-haptic-machine-learning-artificial-intelligence closet of synergy.

What it does

The plan was to create an Android app for use by store employees and customers to add items of clothing to a store's catalogue or a personal closet respectively. This would be achieved by using image processing in Google Cloud to identify a picture of the clothing item as either headware, bodyware, legware, footware or Harambe. This data would then be accessed in store at a terminal where the user can browse the store catalogue as well as their personal closet to find new outfits made up of items of their own clothing and clothing in-store.

The interface for the terminal was planned to use a LeapMotion and a haptic board to provide an immersive user experience.

What it doesn't do

Many, many things including: Having Google Cloud receive data sent from the Android app

How we built it

Android app to add stock to the database. Google Computer Vision API will the classify the type of clothing it is.

Challenges we ran into

Appeasing the gods with human sacrifice proved challenging. Instead we chose to improve the hackathon Spotify playlist in memory of Harambe by exposing the truth behind the Illuminati. Unexpected item in an ear canal.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Removing earbud from Tomasso's ear canal. Getting Airhorn Sonata played in the main hack space. Finding Harambe living in eternal peace in Google Cloud. Building a totem pole with cans, stickers and flags. Building a working Android app that sends images to the server Building a machine learning system that can classify images of clothes Building a Unity application for browsing clothes in store

What we learned

How to create dank memes for exhausted teams. Harambe is living in Google Cloud.

What's next for WhereWearWare

Commencement of Harambeta testing Tying together components to revive Harambe.
