Inspiration

Vamshi, our teammate and friend faced a lot of challenges when he first bought a car, he used to tell us his problems and we wanted to make a solution for him and 1000s of people like him and us who are facing the same problem.

What it does

Wheel Wisdom makes users aware of the motor concepts. By taking input from the user about their car model and the number of miles it has been driven, it then compares the value with a custom-tailored database made with MongoDB, then outputs various values of concern like the Health of Spark Plug, Oil, Tire, Brake Pad, Coolant, Air Filter, etc, which would guide Vehicle Maintenance and accident prevention. Lastly, by providing the closest Mechanic information to users using the Google Maps API, Wheel Wisdom helps the users when the help is needed the most!

How we built it

We used our creative juices to brainstorm the implementation process for the Wheel Wisdom project first, then we created an action plan with definitive steps and achievable goals. After picking the language of choice we then searched for the libraries, frameworks, and APIs to work with. As we didn't find any API, we made our own custom database of several Car models and the number of miles ridden, then using Flask and node.js we made the Backend logic. For the frontend, we used CSS, HTML, and JS which was a fun experience. After making the Minimum viable product, we moved on to add more functionality. By the end of the Hackathon, we polished the webpage.

Challenges we ran into

At every step, we faced a challenge, as we are Beginner Coders.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning CSS, node.js, MongoDB, Javascript

What we learned

How to stay active for 30 hours Non-Spot.

What's next for Wheel Wisdom

Adding Chatbot functionality, Adding LLM to assist with custom queries, improving the Web Design, and much more.
