Inspiration
We want to make financial literacy as accessible as possible, especially for those that do not have parents or mentors to help.
What it does
It takes user input on the cost of living, debt, and income, and generates a complex calculation on the user's estimated net worth in 5 years. It allows users to see what they could make in every "what-if" scenario possible.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, JS, Figma, Node.js, and React
Challenges we ran into
We did not know how to convert our mock-up frames in Figma to HTML code. Also, connecting the front-end to the back-end was a hassle.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
My group and I have never collaborated on such a large project before, and I am truly impressed with their performances. We all had to come together and learn JS and HTML to make the front end and surprisingly we made it all work (on the front end).
What we learned
We learned a lot of languages and that we must NEVER start with front-end again
What's next for What Happens Next
We plan to add all necessary ML/AI components to the code to generate an accurate and precise financial model.
