We want to inspire people to adapt to Electric vehicles.

What it does

It helps people save on their EV charging

How we built it

Downloaded and analyzed data from (PecanStreet.com). We used the Facebook prophet to forecast the solar-based on historical data. We used Next.js to build the website. We used Docker for the backend to run the model.

Challenges we ran into

Would have liked more time to implement all the ideas we had. We had to spend a lot of time training the model and tune the model. Connecting our parts - different people were working on different components and lot of coordination was required.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The forecasting algorithm and simply getting all this done in 24 hrs. Most of us are beginners.

What we learned

How to manage time in projects and communicate with teammates. How to develop an idea and publish it into an app in short time.

What's next for WHALE Saving

A lot. It can be much more smart if it got time :)
