Inspiration

we understand the difficulties of game development process for indie developers and the gamer's difficulties of finding game. This platform will help all indie game developers and gamers.

What it does

Game Developers: A platform where game developers can both test their beta game and advertise their new games. They can get statistics for the games, including user counts, reviews from users, popularity, and bugs caught if any. Developers will gain more players for their games and earn more money. Hence our platform will charge the developer an $80.00 one-time fee when they sign up. (See our business plan linked below in Google Drive!!) Gamers: Gamers can play games recommended for them (so it won't be boring! It'll most likely be something they will like) and earn bonuses, which can be converted to actual money! We provide personalized game recommendations by requesting data from gamers' other accounts including Steam, PSN, and Xbox live. It will be easier for them to find desirable games.

How we built it

First, we created a Figma prototype and then turned it into a working website. We made AI-based chatbot using Python3 and its libraries, C# for registration backend, HTML,CSS,JS for website and Jupyter notebooks for creating large Recommendation engine.

Challenges we ran into

We didn't have much experience that's why we got some problems with backend codes and recommendation engines but our great team tried to solve all the problems.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

First off, we really liked our project idea and tried our best for making it real. We created a website, AI bots, prototype and business plan and we know that will help students in the future.

What we learned

We gain lots of knowledge on backend coding and we have learned to collaborate within a team, expanded our network and learned how to work better with programming languages.

What's next for WeGame.co

We plan to finish integrating everything and finish the backend codes so the website can fully function. and our other main goal is to make our idea a big startup and release this as soon as possible for supporting gamers and indie game developers.
