Inspiration

During this covid pandemic, a lot of organizations such as old age homes, orphanages, schools for the differently abled are facing a lack of skilled volunteers and resources . A news report from New Delhi source Moreover, the latest research reports have shown that more than half of the people in these institutions are mentally stressed and feel loneliness. Apart from this, Recent studies in the last few years have shown in many developing countries proper utilization of human resources are not taken into account. For a highly populated country like India, human resource management and making people self-sufficient irrespective of their origin are herculean tasks. To tackle them all, here we are with the WEAL app.

What it does

Our app provides a social platform where organizations like orphanages, old age homes, schools for the differently abled and small scale industries can connect with companies and customers to make useful products and get them to market.

In addition to this, our workshop page, which collaborates with many industries, aids individuals in these organizations to learn skills and become self-reliant.

Apart from this, our donation page allows the users to donate to organizations of their choice. Any individual can take part in volunteering for delivering the products and indeed they can volunteer in other workshops and campaigns too the latest updates of various organizations and their emergency requirements will be shown and thereby we can support them to solve their problems. Besides, our app has e-commerce services that give opportunities to individuals to bring out their talent.

How we built it

Our team organized a meet via Google Meet and interacted about the idea and gave it a proper structure. From the basic structure, we made the prototype of our application in Figma. This prototype paved the way to bring our app to life. We built the front-end of our app using Flutter.
