Properties of Water

Inspiration

We were inspired by prior knowledge gained throughout our High School career. We would like to use some of the information we learned to educate others about the properties we learned.

What it does

Our program allows users to learn about different properties of water such as rate of cooling, condensation, and evaporation. We use these topics to solve and calculate different problems and teach the user along the way.

How we built it

We built our program using Java with Replit as our IDE. We chose these options as we all had familiar experiences with these two items.

Challenges we ran into

While working on our project, we struggled to find a set of ideas which we thought would be challenging and impressive enough to dedicate the next couple hours into creating. Though after some brainstorming together over a voice channel, we were able to find some topics which we were interested in.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our effective team work and success as a team. Despite working completely virtual and having several interruptions, we were able to produce a thorough product.

What we learned

Through the development of our programmed we learned about and hope to teach others about Newton's law of cooling, calculating the condensation rate of water, and calculating the evaporation rate of water.

What's next for Properties of Water

In the future our group could expand its knowledge about the different properties of water and add more information to this program and ways to apply that information to the real world.
