Inspiration
The inspiration for WatchDog-Meeseeks came from the growing problem of catalytic converter theft, which causes millions of dollars in losses every year. We wanted to create a cost-effective and reliable solution to help protect car dealerships and repair shops from this crime.
What it does
WatchDog-Meeseeks is a computer vision solution that uses advanced algorithms and CCTV cameras to continuously monitor car lots and detect suspicious activity in real-time. When potential catalytic converter theft is detected, an alert is sent to the appropriate parties to take action.
How we built it
We built WatchDog-Meeseeks using TensorFlow and PyQt. We trained the computer vision model on a dataset of images and video footage of catalytic converter theft, and fine-tuned it to improve its accuracy and performance. We also developed a user-friendly interface using PyQt, which allows users to easily set up and customize the system to their specific needs.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges we ran into was creating a robust and accurate computer vision model. It was important to us that WatchDog-Meeseeks was able to detect potential catalytic converter theft with a high level of accuracy, so we spent a lot of time fine-tuning the model and testing it on various datasets.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the fact that WatchDog-Meeseeks is able to accurately detect catalytic converter theft in real-time. We are also proud of the user-friendly interface that we developed using PyQt, which makes it easy for users to set up and customize the system.
What we learned
Working on WatchDog-Meeseeks gave us the opportunity to learn more about computer vision and the TensorFlow and PyQt frameworks. We also learned about the importance of developing a user-friendly interface, and the challenges of creating an accurate and reliable machine learning model.
What's next for WatchDog-Meeseeks
We are constantly working to improve and update WatchDog-Meeseeks, and in the future we plan to add new features and capabilities to the system. We also hope to expand the system to more car dealerships and repair shops, and continue to help protect against catalytic converter theft.
