How I built it
We don't have access to the hardware products such as the digiboxes or Telenet's Yellow app, but we were able to build a website to provide a concrete description of how the product will function in a realistic situation along with additional information concerning the business-oriented side of the research. For instance, a detailed business plan as well as thorough market analyses.
Challenges I ran into
Brainstorming sessions at the very start consumed up a great portion of time, also while working out the business plan difficulties kept coming to the surface.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The website has been finalised in one day with an image to the official Telenet home-website in order to simplify future merging of the websites. Additionally, staying up whole night to do business and market research & analyses was as well an accomplishment. In other words, the estimation of the costs and revenues without the exact figures provided required an immense background knowledge into application as well as tons of research.
What I learned
Teamwork and work division have been extremely essential within our diversified team as we all had different fields of expertise (2 business students and 3 programmers) and simultaneously the application of business theories into actual practice is another lesson I learnt throughout this event.
What's next for Vollo
To get discovered by more people and its value will then be seen and cherished as it does have future potentials based on a thorough market research & cost-benefit analysis.
