Inspiration We aim to make this project beneficial for everyone. For everyday users, Voicify enhances accessibility and productivity by allowing hands-free interaction. Whether multitasking or operating from a distance, users can control their computers effortlessly through voice commands. Meanwhile, for individuals with disabilities, especially those with visual impairments, the project empowers them to navigate digital spaces and identify objects in their surroundings using their device’s camera. Our goal is to create a solution that’s both inclusive and efficient.

What It Does Voicify allows users to control their computers entirely through voice commands. Users can scroll through web pages, click buttons, and even identify and describe objects they’re holding—all without lifting a finger.

How We Built It We utilized DAIN for voice communication, building custom services and commands to expand its functionality. Python scripts handle web page interactions and system-level actions. Together, these components create a seamless experience for voice-based control.

Challenges We Ran Into A significant challenge was the lack of a comprehensive DAIN API, requiring direct program interaction. We also faced difficulties in efficiently implementing features and integrating them with DAIN’s framework.

Accomplishments We’re Proud Of We successfully built a system that allows users to control their computers entirely through voice commands. This hands-free functionality is a significant step toward greater accessibility and ease of use.

What We Learned We gained valuable experience in using DAIN, problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork. Additionally, we honed our skills in Python and Typescript while learning to develop voice-based solutions.

What’s Next for Voicify Our next steps include adding more advanced features, such as form input and text insertion. We also plan to deploy the project and develop a dedicated mobile app to broaden its accessibility and reach.
