inspiration

Our biggest inspiration was the city of Chicago itself, with all its culture and places to visit. The city of Chicago has unique architecture, museums, theaters, diverse hotels, and many other things. Why not show it to the world?

What are you doing

The site itself shows places to meet, eat and stay. It can be accessed on the most diverse devices, whether desktop, notebook, tablets or cell phones.

How we build

The construction of the designer was done through Figma, which was later formulated by the developers of the team.

Challenges we encountered

Among several challenges, such as bad connection, figma bugs, routine day-to-day difficulties, there is also a language barrier, since one of the girls on the team is Brazilian and does not have fluent English. We also had the withdrawal of a person from the team during the hackathon Saturday.

Achievements we are proud of

To learn more about Chicago, and to be designing something towards it, because it is such a beautiful and wonderful city, that it should be known by many other people. We are also proud of our teamwork, that despite all the difficulties, we managed to be a team until the end.

What we learned

Lots of things, but mostly about the city of Chicago itself. We learned more about designer, programming code, we were able to share knowledge with each other, in a way.

What's next for Visit Chicago

We intend to add other sections and topics, such as events, and we want it to be always updated, in addition to partnering with tourism companies and/or city halls, to establish tours around the city.
