Inspiration
During this pandemic time people can't go outside so it is very difficult for women to learn self-defense without hiring a personal trainer
What it does
This project help women to learn self-defense through augmented reality where a virtual trainer can teach self-defense moves with just a click of the button
The app will help to visualize the self-defense moves easily and will do a better job than video learning process where the environment is different than ones domestic environment
The virtual trainer avatar is scalable rotatable and can be dragged on the plane by using generic touch gestures that we are familiar with.
the avatar can be easily scaled and oriented to match any person's height and orientation and hence one can easily mimic the moves and thus will be able to learn very quickly.
How I built it'
We built it using Google arcore and unity engine
Challenges I ran into
It Was Difficult to add the animations into augmented reality but I am glad we overcame that challenge
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
It's A short and simple idea but with a great scalability and use
What I learned
we expanded our knowledge on augmented reality more
What's next for Virtual Self Defence Trainer
we plan to make it more versatile with more moves to teach and implementing voice guide
