What it does: it lets students explore chemistry by mixing virtual chemicals from the entire periodic table.
How we built it: with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into were to define all possible chemical reactions due to the complexity and variability of real-world chemistry.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: we are of creating an educational tool that covers the entire periodic table while remaining user-friendly and engaging.
What we learned: we learned to prioritize usability in UI design and balancing aesthetichs with functionality.
What's next for Virtual Science Lab: we plan to expand the reaction database with more specific pairings and add physics experiments, calculus formulas, maybe specific programming language with all the functions.
