Emojis are fun. Video is fun. Lets put them together automatically.
What it does
Adds emoji reactions to videos automatically.
How we built it
We used CLARIFAI's API along with HTML5, node, jquery, and plain old javascript.
Challenges we ran into
Clarifai doesn't have native video detection, we had to take snapshots and send it to them. We wanted live content analysis.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making emojis dance on screen.
What we learned
I hate frontend.
What's next for Emojify
Make emoji reactions to a webcam feed, so people can smile and a smile emoji would show up. And add NSFW content filtering.
