Inspiration
We were inspired by the Schonfeld Sustainability Challenge to harness our preexisting investing knowledge and build a stock portfolio "through the lens of sustainability". Our earth is very important, and treating it well in every aspect of life is essential, so why not invest green as well.
What it does
What our app does is filter the S&P companies by using an API to pull the companies that have a climate pledge. From there, we use a few models to build a balanced portfolio of stocks
How we built it
For the front-end, we put everything together in React.js using HTML and CSS for structuring and styling respectively, and using BrowserRouter to handle several pages.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into the issue of implementing the app into a web server as the API refused to connect to it (which it successfully connected in localhost)

We are planning on completing the full idea after the hackathon so that it is properly functioning on a live server
