Log Critical Maintenance and Training Records in Bitcoin

What it does

Creates a timestamp record of a pilot or aircraft logbook page to verify pilot currency or airworthy status of an aircraft

How we built it

Used Replit and Opentimestamps to create a document upload system that leverages Opentimestamps calendar servers to log record proof in time to bitcoin blockchain

Challenges we ran into

Replit is able to simulate timestamping, but is unable to integrate Opentimestamps (ex. simulated blockheights of 800,000)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Demonstrating the efficacy of using Opentimestamps and AI tools to preserve real-world safety-critical aviation records

What we learned

Successful integration of Opentimestamps will require another supporting system

Spend more time evaluating tradeoffs between different bitcoin integrations, L2s, etc.
