ValetEZ

ValetEZ is a valet parking system to reduce crowd at the drop off area by allowing collection in advance. Also we have track the capacity of the carpark and status of the car

Inspiration

We took inspiration from the crowd control methods used during Covid-19. We thought about ways to reduce crowds as much as possible and realized that overcrowding at drop off points is a common issue during Covid-19.

What it does

Valet Parker

  • Advance collection service

How we built it

  • We used Flask as the middle layer, Vue as our front end and Firebase as our DB. We have also used Node.

Challenges we ran into

  • Most of us are more familiar with backend development only.
  • We have 2 ends to the project which needed management.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Functions discussed were complete and almost production ready.

What's next for ValetEZ

We would implement:

  • Migration from web to mobile application to improve user experience.
  • Live tracking function and notification to better inform the user.
  • Chat system to communicate with the valet driver.
  • Dockerization.
  • Deployment of Flask service on Google Cloud.
