Inspiration
We’ve all been there: jumping from site to site, hoping to find the perfect hotel deal—only to end up with 20 tabs open and no clue which price is best. We wanted to create something that could do all that work for us, so you could spend less time searching and more time actually planning your trip.
What it does
Vagari MCP is like a digital travel agent that tirelessly scours the web for the best hotel prices. You just tell it what you’re looking for, and it does the rest—visiting booking sites, comparing prices, and even getting you the best deal it can find. All in real-time and in one easy interface.
How we built it
We used Browserbase’s automation toolkit to let Vagari MCP browse travel sites just like a human would. In our React app, users enter their preferences, and behind the scenes, Vagari MCP fires up a browser, clicks around, grabs prices, and shows them all together—like magic! We kept it lightweight, fast, and secure, so it’s actually fun to use.
Challenges we ran into
Automating real websites is always tricky—especially travel sites with pop-ups, dynamic content, and sometimes even CAPTCHAs. We had to get creative with timing and selectors to make sure Vagari MCP didn’t get stuck halfway through a booking flow!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud that we managed to build something that can actually book hotels end-to-end, not just find prices. And honestly, seeing the tool bring back actual deals felt amazing—like our little agent was really out there working for us.
What we learned
We learned how powerful browser automation can be, especially for real-world use cases like this. We also got a crash course in managing multiple browser sessions and handling tricky edge cases like login pop-ups and anti-bot measures.
What's next for Vagari MCP
We’re excited to add more travel features—maybe flights, car rentals, or even full itineraries. We also want to add smarter search features so it can recommend the best deals for you, not just any hotel. For now, we’re just happy to have built something that could make your next trip a little easier.
