Inspiration
My unhealthy lifestyle has wanted me to make changes fast. This hackathon is hopefully going to be one of the first steps.
What it does
It takes data and contextualises it. Then we break it down and present it using gamification.
How we built it
Build mostly on Java & XML and connected the backend to Fit API for Android provided by Google.
Challenges we ran into
Fit API is dog water. Tested by providing manual inputs and when switched to the Fit API had to rebuild from ground up.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Developing an app so fast and having the trust to build app from ground up.
What we learned
Start with the APIs and build the app around it.
What's next for UrFit
Hopefully maintain the project to ready for release and let people know that open source projects are the future into keeping their data safe but usable.
