Inspiration...

Looking at how worldwide community health services struggled to keep blood storages even during times of relative calm, we knew there was a need for more donors but the average person had little to no at hand resource to connect them with blood donation centers in real-time.

What it does...

Unified Blood Donation App connecting new and current blood donors across a given area, saving time by redefining the appointment process with the introduction of QuickID, a QR code based data retrieval system. aggregating various blood banks together, and encouraging donors to be consistent by gamifying their experience and showing their impact to current crisis and areas of need.

How we built it...

We prototyped in Adobe XD and then started to make the android app using Android Studio using Kotlin.

Challenges we ran into...

Time and Time differences.

Accomplishments that we're proud of...

The design, potential for impact and social good!

What we learned...

We learned _ a lot _ about design and android development.

What's next for Unified Blood Donation...

We need to get a database together and a way for blood banks to update their info in it. Also, the internal functions of the app need to be developed as well as securing the user information.
