Goal: What problem are we trying to solve?
We’re attempting to predict the outcome of the next home game for the 2019 season , applying data from past seasons and current weather to showcase the affected team and player statistics. We help the fans determine the choice to attend a local game by the showcasing the forecast, team roster and predict what percentage the game will result in a Win or Loss (i.e. thumbs up or thumbs down).
Value
The app will predict the outcome of wins and losses by percentage, also to help the average fan predetermine their attendance.
Inspiration
Data, Statistics, using the information to predict outcomes.
What it does
Our Webapp accesses a weather API and a sports statistics API, and together with a predictive algorithm aggregates the data to determine wins or losses for future home games.
How we built it
Together with these technologies; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Sketch for Wire framing, Prototyping with Envision. We we're able to build a presentable application with basic functionality.
Challenges we ran into
The Challenges of limiting the options and functions of the app for ease of use to streamline the appeal of our app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Putting our heads together as a team in the creation of this app, from initialization, art boarding, and programming putting each member of the team into role's where they are the strongest.
What we learned
Team work, Tool Utilization, and time constraints.
What's next for undertheweather
