Inspiration
My PCP went on hiatus without my knowledge of the situation. Later on, the nurse practitioner also left. As of now, I have no medical team left to ask questions to.
What it does
It allows patients who are in a similar situation or prefer inputs from multiple professionals to submit a posting that goes to professionals within the nearest or same insurance hospital until they get a stable PCP.
How we built it
We set it up with the docker container in order to establish the environment and set a connection with the front end and the back end. The back end is built by Python Flask with a machine learning concept where frequency data and other data are processed by the machine learning prompt and sent to the openAI API. The front end is in HTML and Ajax, while the backend stores user data, questions, answers, files, etc.
Challenges we ran into
Our idea was originally too general and vague, so we needed to revamp the idea to be more specific. Other issues include difficulties with making the front end due to a lack of experience.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to finish up the planning process and connect the front end and back end successfully, especially getting the API to work and fully completed for our implementation.
What we learned
We learned a lot about HTML, API, machine learning processing data, AI prompts, connection for API, teamwork, and the importance of sleep.
What's next for UncleRogerCommunication
The next goal is to improve the data where we would incorporate more machine learning and AI. Also, make a website tailored to the patient audience.
