Inspiration

We were inspired by the difficulties we faced when making plans to hang out with friends. Issues such as complex availability, forgetfulness, and lack of motivation led to numerous plans being vocalized but never formalized. In addition to these struggles, the effects of covid have impacted every individual's social life. The reduction of in-person meetings6 and activities likely have an adverse effect on physical and mental health. That is why we were inspired to create Una, a web app that can help streamline the process of being together with friends, from the start to finish.

What It Does

Una means "together" in Latin, and it aims to simplify the process of planning meet ups with friends, while also incentivizing the completion of in-person events by gamifying the entire process. The web app gamifies the process by rewarding the user with points for completing various tasks, and providing a space where the user can use those points to create a personalized space. Users would also be able to showcase their space to others.
