Inspiration

The artwork is inspired by the powerful QUEEN energy shown by all the women contributing to the gaming & NFT communities!

We want to bring a powerful feminine touch to Web3 Gaming.

What it does

Each Ultra Queen is Uniq and symbolizes powerful femininity and a different Genre of Videogame.

5 Ultra Queens each representing a different genre: Shooter, Sports, Horror, RPG, Adventure.

Utilities:

1) The main utility to purchasing an Ultra Queen provides you with ONE redeemable ticket for an interpretive digital drawing of any image of your choice by our NFT artist. The image can be anything from a picture of yourself to even your dog! The digital art would be drawn in a similar style to Ultra Queens. In order to redeem the ticket the NFT must be held for at least 7 days in order to give our artist enough time to provide the highest quality of production. This would grant the owner a tangible, personalized experience we are yet to see in the NFT space.

2) Purchasing an Ultra Queen instantly grants you access to the Ultra Royalty private discord. The discord will be dedicated to connecting NFT artists, investors, programmers, etc. In one simple place. We noticed how many people have ideas for utility, but no artists to connect with. This private discord can solve that problem by granting a place for artists and tech experts to connect. The idea of this utility is granted instantly would also promote the future trading of NFTs.

3) If adopted by Ultra we would plan to make Ultra Queens a subset of a larger Royalty collection. We would like to incentivize collecting and holding each of the 5 Ultra Queens. By doing so the holder would be granted the “True Ultra Queen” which will have TBD exclusive utilities, including merch that we would have made through a third party. Also, holding all 5 Ultra Queens AND the “True Ultra Queen” would grant a free randomized drop of the next stage of the collection e.g “Ultra Kings” allowing them to get a head start on completing the next stage of the “Ultra Royalty collection”. If they do not hold all 5 and the “True Ultra Queen” they would not receive the next drop. This would incentivize holding each Uniq instead of selling them immediately after obtaining the “True Ultra Queen”. This would apply to all future drops as well. Even if it were to expand into an Ultra Royalty collection we would like to find ways to keep the focus on promoting Women in Gaming/Women in NFTs as we strongly believe they are underrepresented and would like to help attract more women into the gaming, NFTs and crypto communities in general!

4) Ultra Queens hopes to support women's empowerment and help encourage more women to engage in the Gaming & NFT communities. Through the lens of women empowerment, a TBD Percentage of the proceeds of Ultra Queens will be donated to Sheltersafe which is a project of Women’s Shelters Canada. Domestic violence will affect more than 2 in 5 women in Canada and we want to help make a difference!

How we built it

Each Ultra Queen was hand drawn by our very talented artist Maria. The art style and theme was directed by the other team members. The artist used Sketchbook Pro on a Huion drawing tablet to complete each piece!

Challenges we ran into

The time constraint brought pressure upon our artist to complete all 5 pieces, but she was determined and got it done!

This was especially challenging as each piece was meticulously hand-drawn with tons of attention to detail.

Halfway through our first 3 NFTs, we realized we were not happy with the art style and completely started over. We also decided to focus only on the main/most popular video game genres.

Our artist is a perfectionist and wants to bring the highest quality of hand-drawn digital art to Ultra!

Another minor challenge was fitting each design into the required specified dimensions. It was not as simple as we initially thought to alter the artwork into a squared format... but, we prevailed!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to completely change the art style of our project midway and still be able to meet the deadline. Creating an NFT project on a time crunch is fun but incredibly challenging!

What we learned

We learned that time management is critical when designing an NFT project. Obstacles are almost a certainty with any team project, and working together on a time crunch was key!

What's next for Ultra Queens

As mentioned above, if adopted by Ultra, Ultra Queens will be considered the first drop of the larger Ultra Royalty Collection.

The Ultra Royalty Collection will include 5 Ultra Kings, Princes, and Princesses all released at different times as separate drops.

Ultra Queens and Ultra Royalty Collection hope to continuously build and develop with Ultra and in turn, continuously find new ways to provide utility to our Uniq NFT holders (Perhaps if adopted provide game access to the specific genres)

If we do not make the cut for Ultra, we plan to still develop the Ultra Royalty Collection and place them on a secondary marketplace. Ultra Queens will still be able to provide the aforementioned utilities!
