About the Project
MediQueue was inspired by the growing crisis of long wait times in Canada’s healthcare system. We realized that while millions wait for care, countless appointment slots go unused because of cancellations and no-shows. Our goal was to make healthcare more inclusive and resilient by automatically filling these gaps in real time.
What We Learned
We learned how unpredictable factors such as booking lead time, demographics, and weather affect no-show rates. We also discovered how automation and data-driven decision making can improve operational efficiency without adding new infrastructure. it was also quiet difificult to implement real Sms live system to automate things. as well as the data analysis with the ai to predict no shows.
