Trial Everywhere's purpose is to make the court more accessible to everyone. Some lesser crimes but undue burden on both the courts and the defendants.
The basic premise of the app is to allow defendants to submit their pleas via video within a given time window and then allow the judge to review the videos and submit their own video responses. Prosecutors and public defenders also have access to the videos and the judge can see if they have been reviewed by these parties.
